Over Two Decades of Dental Experience
Remuera Dentists has served the community for more than 20 years.
At this clinic, oral health—including care for teeth, lips, and tongue—is understood as vital not only for speech but also for essential functions like tasting, chewing, and digesting food. Studies have shown that poor oral health, such as chronic gum disease, may be linked to conditions like heart disease and stroke.
Located in Remuera, the clinic offers comprehensive dental services. To help ease any anxiety related to dental visits, The Oral Care Company uses a collaborative co-diagnosis model, where patients are encouraged to take an active part in planning their treatments alongside skilled dentists.
Approach to Patient Care
Delivering effective dental healthcare is central to the clinic’s mission, with a strong emphasis on outstanding customer service. Every effort is made to reduce discomfort and ensure a comfortable atmosphere for both children and adults.
Advanced Imaging Technology
The Oral Care Company employs DTX Studio Clinic systems, which enable dentists to access and review 2D X-rays, 3D CBCT scans, intraoral scans, and photographs within a single platform.
This technology allows for thorough treatment planning and enhances communication with patients. AI-powered features, including mandibular nerve tracing and image fusion, are integrated into the imaging workflow.
Sterilisation and Safety Standards
Maintaining high standards of hygiene is a top priority. Dental instruments undergo meticulous cleaning and sterilisation before each use, primarily through steam autoclaving—a process that uses intense heat to eradicate bacteria and viruses.
Options for Sedation Dentistry
To support patient comfort during procedures, sedation dentistry is available at The Oral Care Company, offering two main methods:
-
Intravenous sedation: A sedative is administered via injection in the arm, producing a state of relaxation without loss of consciousness. Patients usually experience less anxiety and limited recollection of the procedure, but will need someone to accompany them home afterward.
-
Inhalation sedation: Also known as nitrous oxide or 'laughing gas', this option reduces sensitivity while allowing patients to remain fully conscious. Its effects wear off quickly and side effects are rare.
All these services are provided in Remuera within a professional dental healthcare environment.
